Hailing from Minnesota originally, Dr. Barbara Panata moved to Walla Walla in 2001, at which time she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest. She spent several years living in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador, where she became fluent in Spanish. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Walla Walla University in 2008 and with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2015. Her veterinary interests include small animal medicine and surgery, with particular interest in canine behavior and clinical pathology.
She enjoys backpacking and hiking with her husband Juan and her 3 dogs: Daddy, Canela, and Blue. She also enjoys studying the Bible, gardening, and playing soccer. She looks forward to serving the pets and owners of the Pendleton community.
